Welcome to the Robert L Pettigrew Memorial Foundation website homepage

We recently, and very unexpectedly, lost our most beloved patriarch, the late Robert L. Pettigrew.

This great loss has left quite a hole in our lives and we yearn for the day when things will get easier, and yet, we dread time passing from the last time we heard his voice as well.

Robert attended the Central Texas College Police Academy and started his career as a correctional officer in Bell County, Texas in 1993. He was soon promoted to deputy and held a Master Peace Officer certification. He served the schools of Bell County as the D.A.R.E. Officer for many years and he taught courses on mental health for the police academy as well. At the time of his death he was an Operations Sergeant, as well as the bagpiper in the Bell County Sheriff’s Department Honor Guard.

Robert loved his job and was so honored to serve others in his community. We would love to be able to support future officers in their endeavors of following this same calling.

In an attempt to move forward, we have formed a foundation that will award memorial scholarships in Robert's name for the benefit of future peace officers and public servants.

The Robert L Pettigrew Memorial Foundation is a federally recognized, tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all donations made to our foundation are tax deductible.
